Photographer's Note

Golden Buddha at Darjeeling. This is the 'Peace Buddha' that evokes a calm and silent mood in me. The black text you see behind the Buddha are inscriptions by the Monks. There are a lot of Monastries in Sikkim and Darjeeling, all-together a different world inside India! Very different looking people and culture.

I printed it out on 8x10 inches and framed it my office. Makes me smile and reminds me of the trip to Darjeeling and Gangtok (Sikkim) last year in March.

**PS: If found out that, The Buddha has different postures and each of these positions can be associated with a moment in the Buddha's life that has an important lesson behind. Here you see His Hand raised with palm facing outwards and fingers extended in a universal gesture of protection, benevolence, and peace - this depicts 'Dispelling Fear'
