Photographer's Note

He is a famous artist named Mr Samir Kr. Saha, he shows mastery with shola pith. A soft white stem called shola. I took his consent to take this shot but didn't try to disturb his job.
He is a National award winner of 2006 for his art.
He is in final touch of his this work. He is making a model of Maa Durga. It is a long process. Firstly cutting the shola pith to generate the structure then the minute work to be done. It is an alternative of ivory art after banned ivory made art. In WORKSHOP ( please see it ) you can see an earlier shot of this work ( primary work of making this model ). The back light offers here a bit less sharpness but I am happy to take this shot. Hope you'll also like it.
