Village near town Gori. A scene from daily life.
Gori is a city in the Shida Kartli region of Georgia most famous for being the birthplace of Joseph Vissarionovich Jughashvili, better known as Stalin. Today, surprisingly, it does not look much different from when Stalin ruled the USSR. Gori is also located a short drive from Uplistsikhe, an ancient Silk Road cave city and former regional centre of pagan worship.

Everything that a tourist would want to see within Gori is easily accessible on foot.To get to nearby Uplistsikhe, however, it is best to hire a taxi. Taxis are easy to find around the main square .

Hi Piotr
Very daily life (I guess for Georgia anyway) with all the long unrenovated walls and buildings.
The cow being walked along with the dog is an unusual sight. A good interesting photo.

cześc Piotrze, Moglaby to być scenka z wielu miejsc w gruzji, ale zanim przeczytałam notke pomyslałam o Gori. Ta żółta rurka to chyba przewód gazowy. Zabawne.
Ja chciałam pojechać marszrutka do Upliscychge, a w rezultacie taksówkarz mnie zawiózł do Upliscyche, Ateni, Mcchety i w końcu do Tbilisi. I wcale drogo nie zapłaciłam. Ach, to buyły czasy, kiedy sie podróżowało beztrosko :0.

Hello Piotr,
It could probably be anywhere in Georgia, or maybe in the Balkans too, but it is an amusing and very nice daily life scene regardless where it was taken. A lady in red walking home with her dog and her cow down the village street. I really like this kind of "nothing special" photos.

Ha! Ha! Piotr, I have known lots of people who take their dog for a walk but, not very many who who take their dog and their cow for a walk!
You just had to photograph this moment and, though probably unplanned, has worked out very well!

A well spotted sight on your round and it's not often that you see a cow, a dog and a woman walking together in the neighbourhood. Little wonder why she looked so surprise, but I love the red colour of her outfit seems to beef up the shot a bit more. No hot dog for me but yeah....sirloin steaks for dinner today.....

An amusing scene but it's the reality in Georgia.
Some find it hard to believe, but I saw more cows on the streets in Georgia than in India.
