Sighnaghi - Looking for a room with a balcony ?

Sighnaghi is a small town in the east of Georgia, in the province Kakheti.
It’s often described as a place with an Italian look.
This refers primarily to the view people have of the town on the hill seen from a distance. Have a look at my previous post.

In the town itself there are lots of typical Georgian features, such as the many balconies on the houses.
A picture of another street can be found in the workshop.

Sighnaghi has been renovated thoroughly and yes, it is touristic (at least according to Georgian standards). But it is a very beautiful and picturesque town and I believe it’s a real paradise for photographers.

There are lots of comfortable and inexpensive hotels and guest houses that make the stay very pleasant.

Economically important for Sighnaghi are the production of wine, traditional carpets and tourism.
