The Leaning Tower of Tbilisi (Tbilisi in Georgian) is one of the most unusual buildings in the capital of Georgia.
Located on a side street in the old town of Tbilisi, the tower is situated as a strange structure about to collapse, with a steel beam that helps it not to collapse and to be able to remain standing. A huge clock features prominently on the tower.
Although at first glance it may seem that the Leaning Tower of Tbilisi is an ancient structure dating back centuries, it really is not. It is a modern tower attached to the puppet theater of the famous puppeteer Revaz Gabriadze. Revaz himself is behind the creation of the structure, as well as the building that sits next to it and which houses the royal theater.
It was Gabriadze who ordered the construction of the theater, which lasted over a period of thirty years, reusing old pieces from abandoned structures in the old town and from buildings destroyed after a great earthquake. The strange leaning clock tower was added in 2011, after a four-year construction phase.
It's hard not to fall in love with the tower's playful and naive architecture, especially at the o'clock hours, when a window opens onto a small balcony at the top and a mannequin of an angel rings the bell. Under the clock, another window opens and the circle of life is shown in which a boy meets a girl, they marry, have a child, grow up and finally there is a funeral.

Hello Luis,
One of the most remarkable clock towers in existence.
It looks like it survived an earthquake. But this is not the case.
The playful and naive concept certainly has something charming about it.
Beautiful presentation in warm tones and with excellent sharpness.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Luis,
Only reading the title of the photo and seeing the thumbnail I had forgotten this tower, but seeing the large version brings memories back. It's a very original and charming monument, built with the intention of making people smile. It works all the time! Also the immediate surroundings contribute to the nice impression of the image, thanks to the many colours and different materials, including the trees. The WS is also nice.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Luis
An unusual building which at first glance looks as though it has suffered earthquake damage itself. The note here is vital. Tfs!

Hello Luis,
The tower looks as though it can completely fall down any moment. It is a nice mix of different styles and textures and has got several very pleasant, warm tones, which look good in the clear sunlight. The green of the trees makes a good addition as well.

Hola Luis,
I could hardy believe my eyes when I saw this building! Reading your notes, confirmed my impression that it is made from a conglomeration of bits of other buildings!
It perfectly matches the theme of theatre, where so many different characters, moods and opinions can be represented on one stage.
I love its playfulness, its originality and how it can be interpreted in different ways; absolutely great for the imagination of children!
As always, your photograph is pin sharp and beautifully colour saturated.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hola Luis,
What a fascinating tower! The various, seemingly random elements, and the earthy colors are very nice. Your capture, with warm sunlight and excellent sharpness, is also great. I enjoyed looking at this unique structure.

Hola Luis,
What a great idea indeed! Some old elements skillfully combined into a puzzle which appears as if it was wrongly assembled.
You captured thie interesting tower in a great light! Yes I did tyhink first it is old but after a moment you can realize that something is off.
I don't think I have seen it before, even though there were several reportages from the Georgian capital before. Maybe the trips of other people were before 2011?
Excellent presentation, such a unique design!
