Photographer's Note

Road trips in this country are a delight, as the beauty of the landscapes are parading on the other side of the bus window.

Here you can contemplate the wonderful colors of the mountains, with ideal greens and a range of bushes with autumnal colors, which gave a magical contrast, it is also easy to see churches in many places, like the one you see on the top of the mountain.

Los desplazamientos por carretera en este país son una delicia, pues la belleza de los paisajes van desfilando al otro lado de la ventanilla del bus.

Aquí podeis contemplar el maravilloso colorido de las montañas, con verdes ideales y una gama ya de arbustos con colores otoñales, que daban un contraste mágico, es fácil ver también iglesias por muchos sitios, como la que veis en la misma cima de la montaña.

Hello Luis,
The churches are beautiful, but the scenery is just fantastic. The nearest hillside alone is worth a photo just for the colours. The background mountain is more "normal" but still magnificent. You had a fantastic view from this road, and judging from the perfect sharpness I would assume you had time to stop here.

Amazing sight indeed. The whole setting is all natural and the only sign of civilization are these ancient buildings of the monastery. Tes the autumnal colors are fantastic especially when well lit with the warm rays of the direct sunshine like here.
THe buildings seem to be almost glowing.
The only thing what discourages me from the bus trips is that you probably have to take photos from the bus and it is so hard to get a good quality. I see you didn't have any problem with that but I always struggle.

Fabulous autumn colors, Luis, first object that drew attention.

Nice two small churches above the valley. Magnificent landscape picture with the autumn colours of the low bushes.
I suppose that you go by the Georgian Military Road to Kazbek.
I was there in winter, so the views were different.

I have the feeling that you would have liked to linger here, or did the bus stop for you?
The scenery is stunning, with autumn colours that could not be improved upon if you have been able to choose those you wanted!
The bright colours in the f/g create immediate interest, with the churches situated on the separation line, and the steep, green slopes as wonderful backcloth.

An interesting choice of view point showing an interesting location of the old monastery with nicve bit of autumnal colours enhancing the whole capture. Exposure is spot on with good contrast and detail all round. Excellent lens work, except the sky colour doesn't look natural on my monitor.

Hello Luis,
I don't remember seeing these churches on the way to Ananuri.
The landscape has very different colours than during my visit.
I was there partly in July and partly in August. Here you have already the splendid autumn tones.
