Photographer's Note
Last night in Mongkok at the Wet Market, taking pictures with Maciek.
This is what the Butchers in Hong Kong look like. The meat is hanging out and your choose what you want. The butcher chops it up and you're on your way.
Unfortunately, scenes like this are not so common anymore. Why? Simply because of the American style Hypermarts and upscale supermarkets that have been popping up around the city. You seldom see people in the market except for some old people who can't afford supermarket prices and die-hard housewives who believe the fresher the better (they go 2 times a day - early in the morning to buy food to cook for lunch and after lunch to get food to cook for dinner!!)
I remember when I was young, it was a real thrill to go to the market with my mum. It was a busy bustling place which lots of noise and colour!
It was also an important 'networking' opportunity because in the afternoons, all your friends and neighbours were bound to be there!!
I sure hope the man on the right washed his hands!!!
Tech stuff: croppes and resized, changed to black and white and adjusted brightness!

That's a nice shot of daily life.
You managed to keep reasonable details in the whole grayscale range in what looks like poor light conditions.
Well done.

This is a great shot and a valuable comment. BW is a good choice (I imagine it's bloody in colors). What's the role of these plastic/glass cages ? They are holed so I imagine they are used to carry alive animals to their last travel. Cages seems empty, it's better like that otherwise it has been cruel to let animals assist to what it will happen to them

Yes, I agree with Philippe, a very well managed daily shot, with lots of interesting detail.

Great daily life shot, very natural, and the B&W really fits. Maybe I wouldn't have kept the boxes in the foreground. Anyway, it's a nice scene you've catched here.
