To preserve the corn it has to be dried up, and this is done by scattering the corn cobs on the road. It looks like the witherd of oz's "Yellow brik road" to me...

Hi Yuval,
That's a lot of corn! It seems to go on forever. Quite a sight. The photo shows us the details of the corn in the foreground and some of the landscape in the background.
