Photographer's Note

That mountain with tea plantations has a face turned to the river Qiantang, where it was built the Six Harmony Pagoda. It is around 60 meters high, it was firstly built to calm the violent tides of the river that occur in the autumn, when the sea invade the river with violence. This original one was destroyed in a battle and another was built in bricks and timber during Song dynasty (1127- 1279), the other dynasties added eaves to the pagoda. Few years ago the pagoda had only its internal tower made of bricks preserved and the external parts of timber were rebuilt after. A Brazilian surfer and a friend broke the record of the longest time surfing a wave here.
