Photographer's Note

It was cold and raining this morning as we set out to explore the Jokhang Temple. It is known by many names including Qoikang Monastery and Jokhang Monastery. Designed in the Tibetan Buddhist style it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. The smoke that you see is incense which is burned by the Buddhist pilgrims in sankang burners. Located in Barkhor Square in Lhasa, Tibet.
