Photographer's Note

"Find yourself first
and then your talent"

The Yungang Grottoes (云冈石窟) are ancient Buddhist temple grottoes near the city of Datong in the Chinese province of Shanxi. The grottoes were mainly constructed in the period between 460-525 AD during the Northern Wei dynasty.

This is one of the main statues at the site. Originally it was inside a cave, but the front wall collapsed ages ago. Also note the intricate decorations on the wall beyond.
