Photographer's Note
It is about 7:00am in Weifang, China. The morning crowd near the noodle pot finds their spot and the daily ritual continues. The tables are full and the bowls await washing (maybe). Hot noodles are boiling. Noodles are not always easy to cook, over cook and they are soft and mushy, under cooked and they remain hard. One pot with noodles in and noodles out, not sure how they are perfect ... but no one seems to complain.

Hello David,
No breakfast available at the hotel, then it's time to look for noodles in the street - in China, in Vietnam. I get mixed nostalgic feeelings from this picture. I want to be there, still I would prefer something better at the hotel. Picturewise it's perfect and very instructive. This is really a glimpse of very ordinary life in East Asia, presented with good light and clarity and perfect colours.
Regards,
Gert
