Photographer's Note
This is Kumtag desert near Turpan, one of the old silkroad cities in China that continues as far as Mingshashan near Tunhuang. The sand dune here is very wide and higher than the one of Taklamakan. Unlike touristic places this desert is very quiet and unspoiled. Nearby the desert one can visit some traditional villages of Uygur people with their winery, which is also worth to see.

Another fantastic desert composition. You have mastered the color and texture of the sand very well. Don't mind the long shadow on the lower right corner.
Best wishes,

Hi JS,
I really like the colors and the pov in your photograph. The man moving with his hands raised adds real time movement in the photograph.

Classical composition of dunes with shepes and shadows.
I'm wondering about quality of image. JPEG compression "have eaten" many interesting details and texture, as well have added unnecessary "square" artefact around edges of shapes. I suggest to prepare this pictire with less compression and re-post. Then it will be excellent (N/R)

That's a great composition indeed: the lovely light enhances the orange and yelow colours of the dunes. Lovely lines formed by the top of the dunes. The camels at the bottom add life and dynamism to the image.
Thanks for sharing

Just wonderful.
Beautiful and rich, well composed. I am jealous of you being in this place. I agree with JVS about the quality, probably due to the technics of resizing and posting.
Bravo

Hello,
Very beautiful capture. The composition is excellent as are the dunes with the shadows.
Good positioning of the camels.
About the image quality - you can post images that are 6 times bigger (200Kb) - then the quality will be better

Hi JS
This is a visually stunning shot. The curves of the sand are fantastic and it's good that you didn't includ the horizon. The camels are perfectly positioned to enter the scen on their slow journey across the dunes. A truly wonderful capture.

Hi JS.
Fantastic composition. Those dunes are enormous. Puting the figure and camels gives the shot it's unique scale. Well done.

Great work, makes one stand in awe at the greatness of nature and the smallness of humans. The dunes seem to be overwhelming in size and extent. beautiful richness of colour and light. You seem to have an afinity for the desert scapes. Well done. Regards. Klaudio.

Don't compress your photos so much. Why only 33kb? The limit is 200kb. The composition is perfect but you destroyed the sharpness. It's pixelated.

Good contrast and point of view seems as they would walk along the thin line between sun and shadow!

Bonjour JS,
Le cadrage et la composition sont excellent, dommage que l'image ne soit pas de bonne qualité.Je me suis permis un petit WS dont je m'étonne moi même du résultat.
Bon week end.
