Photographer's Note

More files from China;

Very cold and bright silent morning at an altitude of 5000 meters above sea level taken at Karakoram Highway linking China and Pakistan - being the highest paved international border crossing in the world. The high peak mountains which remain snow-covered throughout the year with different colours as the land changed constantly to go with the elevation,.offers some of the most breathtaking mountain landscape. Realizing how difficult it must have been to even build this 1300km long road through such rugged and treacherous mountain region made me appreciate how lucky I was to see the magnificent views and everywhere you look there is dramatic scenery.....

Taken from a moving vehicle on my journey from Kashgar to Taxkorgan - a border town close to Tajikistan, looking towards the mammoth Pamir Mountain Range.

Setting: 270 mm, 1/250 sec, F20, ISO Raw 100, 0850 hrs & polarised
