Photographer's Note

This scanned photo was shot in some very remote nunnery after visit to the Nam-tso lake. We were driving for several hours on some very bad impasse road and finally we reached this remote nunnery in the middle of nowhere in Tibet. The real reason why we actually went there is because just near the nunnery there are hot springs and you can bathe there in water of almost 50 deg C (too hot to just jump inside).
The scenery around is spectacular. Hot water basin, wild mountains all around, strong winds and temperature of air around 0 and nuns going around, praying and making prayer wheels is really once in a lifetime experience...
On this photo you can see a nun going around a buddhist stupa with her praying wheel in total wilderness.
