Photographer's Note

Yamdrok-Tso. Located 100km South from Lhasa, one of the largest and holy tibetan lakes stretches for a length of 70 kilometers, adopting a shape of scorpio. At almost 5000 meters altitude, in rarefied air, tract appears turquoise blue and shadows of the clouds makes its color changing constantly. The whole of view is completed by snow white summits of Himalaya Mountains in the background.
There is a legend that if the lake ever disappears that will be a sign that days of Tibet are counted. It's very likely this legend would become true for Yamdrok is a non-renewable water source and Chinese government has built there a huge power plant about 10 years ago.
