Side view of Sino-Nepal Friendship Bridge, Nepal is on the left, China on the right
The no man's land is set at the middle of the narrow Friendship Bridge that crosses the Sun Kosi River to enter Zhangmu in Tibet

At Nepal, Kodari is still the only legal point of entry between China and Nepal, two countries with a common border stretching for 1,400km.
At Tibet (China), Zhangmu, is a customs town and port of entry located in Nyalam County on the Nepal-Tibet border, just uphill and across the Bhote Koshi River
The road, goes around the contours of a very narrow gorge a great distance above the river as it descends into dense, misty jungle

The Photo
The crossing of the frontier (a red line on the bridge) is done on foot, baggage MUST be carried by porters (mainly Sherpas, very searched for expeditions to climb Mount Everest)
Before crossing, last papers were singed in Kodari, we were told that being a frontier not photo was allowed, walking along the bridge was great, plenty of local color, so I began to walk slowly and in a moment looked back to see, once more, the colorful, big trucks, the scene was so good that I took some photos and immediately heard the frustrating cry NO PHOTO, while four Chinese polices grab my arm and camera, so as a last attempt to save the photo I said the magic word “Dollars” that work in general, but failed, or they don’t understood or they were not corrupts, anyway the photos (2 or 3) were deleted by them
When I continue the crossing I saw at the far end my group, obviously having fun watching my adventure
We continue together to climb a cliff where another van was waiting for us
Arriving there, I saw part of the scene with the bridge far below, half hidden by bushes and what I believe are cannabis plants, few polices there so I managed to catch this only capture

From The Guardian
Nepal will be a friendship bridge between China and India," said the Maoist prime minister of Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai, who was ousted in March. Delhi is afraid it will be more of a Trojan horse, concerned at the prospect of a massive influx of Chinese goods, served by the free-trade agreement linking the two countries.
