Photographer's Note

When driving on the Friendship Highway (from Lhasa to the border to Nepal) you pass a place.....somewhere between Shegar and Rungbuk......where there is a fantastic view of 4 of the highest mountains in the world.

From left to right you see:

Mt. Makalu - 8.463m - the 5th highest
Mt. Lhotze - 8.516m - the 4th highest
Mt. Everest - 8.850m - the highest
Mt. Cho Oyu - 8.201m - the 6th highest

The 2nd highest is K2 in Pakistan/China and the 3rd is Kanchenjunga in India/Nepal.
