This is the magnificent Qinghai Lake. It's a big salt lake at an altitude of 3000 meters on the Qinghai plateau near Xining.
This picture also shows what chinese tourists do when travelling : they pay to have pictures of them disguised in traditional clothes and sitting on a yak.
