Photographer's Note
This young monk was one of the few that were at the monestary this day. He seemed pretty bored as all the other monks were away for a vacation (yes, monks take vacations). I saw him walking around the courtyard but before I could talk to him he went back inside...then he peeked his head out to whistle to someone and I was just standing in the right place. Afterwords, I went in to show him the picture but all he really wanted to do was play with my camera...Ahhh, the power of digital.

Hey Neil
Nice capture. Great expression on this monks face. Well framed and great background. A little over exposed in the top left but it still works. Good portrait. Well done.

A nice capture and composition here. I like the fact you were nice and close to your subject. Sharp and well saturated, and the slight over-exposure in the upper left would be easy to burn down in PP....but it really isn't a problem IMHO.
Great Job.

Striking shot. You definitely caught him at the right time! The neutral background vs. his rich red hood is my favorite part, but i also love the candidness of the expression. Nice!
