Photographer's Note

The Yuanyang Terraces are a paradise for photographers. The best time for photography is in February and March. During this period you can catch the prettiest of the terraces, because the rice terraces are filled with water, and every level layer of the terraces is bright with the reflective effects of light and shadow.

Thank you all for following my post on Yuanyang Rice Terrace and the constructing comment.

It is very difficult to get a majestic sunrise or sunset photos, unless National Geographic or a Local who are willing to stay there for months and wait for the perfect light.

I would like to share with you my experience in Landscape photography. During my 4 days stay, I hope for the perfect light every morning and nights arriving 2 hours before sunrise and 3 hours before sunset with the help of a local photographic guide to secure the best position.

Plan A the perfect lights does no appeal, my Plan B is to "Focus on composition and details" and if the lighting is good use colour, however if the lights is poor convert it to B&W and play with contrast
