Photographer's Note
Last week, Maciek posted This Photo of one of the characters on Upper Rascal Row. This is the same man, but obviously from a much different angle. Maciek is right, he is a great character and a great subject for photos. I have head shots of him as well, maybe those will be posted later. This was my first time to ever go and take photos with someone from TE and it was such a fun experience. It is fun to see each other's takes on the same subjects. I hope to do it again soon.

hi Darren, I have two shots with his hands - one almost exactly like this one ;) and another with much tighter composition. i wonder who took this shot first ;)
your picture is really good, well comosed, sharp and detailed, great focusing and DOF, it is a very good picture, I really like it.
so, when are you going to HK again? we could go to Guangzhou or to Macau :)
and i just bought new lens, canon 70-200 f/4L, i hope it was a good choice, i was really between your sigma and this canon...

Great depth of field, and the details and colors are very nice. 50mm prime is "gold", but I'm starting to fall in love with 35 mm's :)
I like it!

This would make a great shot for your "bracelets of the world" treasure hunt idea Darren :-)Interesting combination of weathered hands and weathered shirts.Did you ask him to unbutton his shirt sleeves?:-)

This is a good close up, and a great original subject to take. Like the layering of his shirts, and bracelets. Well thought of taking a shot of the rear
of this man. Well done.

Lovely detail; the worn cloth on the shirt just above the cuff, gorgeous detail on teh wrinkles on the base of the thumb, and I love the braclet. It is massive. And of course the bambood cane is classic.
Really good idea.

Great shot Darren. This guy is obviously a really interesting character and it was good of him to allow you and Maciek to take a few shots. The details you have picked out here look great. Good idea to take this unusual view. Excellent DOF as always.

I like the way the two hands converged in the middle holding a stick . Unique picture which can tell so many stories. Very good DOF and color saturation.

I envy you guys, such great pictures and a different interpretation of the same situation. The compo has just the right mass of his hands, and the DOF work well here.
