Photographer's Note

The famous Grand Budha sit in a lotus flower in Po Lin monastery. This impressive budha in bronze has 22 meters high and its one of the biggest in the world.It is located amoung the green mountains of Lantau Island and visible from kilometers around the island in a clear day. The lotus flower is a symbol of purity. The monastry was built in the beggining of XX century and its location was chosen by its beautiful peaceful ladscape.

Taken during my second trip to HK.

Hi ,

I must admit that the framing has been dramatic with reflects such spiritual quality in the photograph ... It seems as if there is something living in that Budha . The background is outstanding!!! Congratzz for this shot .. ,
