Photographer's Note

This man, a former fisherman, willingly poses for visitors ... he is proud of his cormorants, accomplices for a traditional fishing technique of this region.
Cormorants (dieters) dive and fish eagerly .... only the fishermen who use them hug their necks!
Then, just grab the fish in the throat and hop to put it in the basket! Easier catches than with lines and nets, clever! But a little barbaric for the poor birds who still have the right to swallow a fish from time to time ...
A technique less and less used nowadays, poor birds do not complain!
In WS, we see a cormorant fisherman with the ring that we guess around his neck, well, it's blurry but the picture was not easy despite the zoom: distance and on a raft it moves a little!
