One more from the backlog, this also a smartphone camera so quality is so-so...

I spent some time in various shipyards in southern China as well, this time at a yard very close to Shenzhen.

What facinates me is how quickly what once was the sleepy village that got status as a city ion 1979 has grown into the 12.5 million metropolis it is today.
The growth is visible as the city has a mix of the traditional and the ultra modern.

In my opinion though I would say that Shenzhen sits comfortably alongside Shanghai at being two of the least chinese places in China.
