Photographer's Note

The building on the right is a corner of the great sutra hall of Langmu Temple. Lamas usually have their classes here. Before the class begins every sharp hour in the morning, they will take off their shoes, all looking the same to me, and enter the hall bear-footedly. They all sit on their special low long wood benches on the ground and study sutra, and other sciences. During the breaks, usually a new and young lama will serve tea for their senior lama students using a long-beak pot. Sometimes between classes, the lamas will have debate on the sutra, trying to reach better understanding of the Buddhism through bebating with each other.
