Photographer's Note
At the Chinese flea market PanJiaYuan, there is just about anything for sale. Mostly replicated items. But, none the less interesting. I doubt these would be appreciated as hand carry items on any flight out of China. This is just a small section of the "Martial Arts" stuff available here. This market is called the Ghost market. In the past, some 10-15 years ago, there were wonderful "real" antiques (owned by people long past - thus they are now ghosts and thus the name)and very low prices. I could take 10 US dollars and leave with a bag full. Now the bag itself almost costs me this and it is plastic or cloth. See my theme on this market to gain an insight on the vast contents found here. I will add to this theme and hope to make a contribution to TE of a picture story view of this unique Beijing place.

Hello David,
A crowded display of relics, but just right for the subject. I like the composition, the colors and the resolution. In 1983 when I visited Beijing, I cannot have imagined this sort of merchandize would go on sale. But then, this country has gone from the 19th century to the 21st in the matter of a few years, so it seems.
Warm regards from Virginia,
Bulent
