Photographer's Note

View over the roofs of the Forbidden city to the White Dagoba (白塔 Baita) in Beihai-Park (北海公园).
The White Dagoba is a 36m high Stupa in indo-tibetan style built in 1651 as a welcome to the Dalai Lama, who came to Beijing for his first visit. It belongs to the Temple of Eternal Peace (Yong'an Si) beneath the hill.

RP-Note: This was the first picture I posted on TE. It is one of my favourites. I wondered, why there was so low interest. So I decided to make some improvements. I played with curves. Added a lot of colour (cyan and blue) to the sky. Finally I added a frame. I hope you like it.
