Photographer's Note

Summer Palace in Beijing. I took this shot while visiting this beautiful city in 2009. The palace is located in large area of the city, composed by a big lake, several interesting gardens and a big palace surronded by traditional chinese buldings. It is the largest and best preserved royal park of Beijing.
The construction of the Summer Palace started in 1750 as a luxurious royal garden for royal families to rest and entertain. It later became the main residence of royal members in the end of the Qing Dynasty.
