Photographer's Note
Taishun in the deep south of Zhejiang is famous for its ancient covered bridges. This bridge in the center of the town of Sixi is a fine example. It is called Beijian bridge and was originally built in 1674, then rebuilt in 1849.

Weather conditions weren't the best when we travelled through this area, resulting in a whitened out sky etcera, but I did want to post this. I remember how difficult it was to find good information about this area and its wonderful bridges, so I hope you do appreciate it.

I think they should invent a filter to rescue white skies - I would definitely buy a whole range of them :)
it's interesting to see these bridges (and the adjoining houses) all made of wood (and still standing...) - the red bridge is quite beautiful, with its elaborate roof and bright colour it must be quite a sight along the river.
nice diagonal, it splits the image into two triangles and creates an opposition between empty sky and full landscape.
have a good evening :)

Dag benny,

Goed gedaan, bedankt.
Prettig weekend,
John.

HI Benny
I can well imagine your memories of China standing out, an interesting image it shows China away from the bright lights of the modern cities. An old attractive bridge in rural China, looks but quite well maintained. Light managment is not bad in this condition, good clarity. Lovely tones and colour and it really standout especially against the turquoise water of the river. Your compo and shooting angle is impressive though the sky is not in your favor but focus is firm on the red bridge.
Gret photo, Congrats
Best rgds
