Morning exercise, a photo from Shanghai, East

Photographer's Note

Qi Gong or Tai Chi sessions ... alone or in groups, a classic image in the morning in parks in China. As in this Fuxing Park in the center of the French Concession of Shanghai.
Morning gymnastics, but not only ... you can see musicians, dancers, choirs, calligraphy lovers or walk backwards as the woman with red pants practices.
Many people enjoy meeting for these activities ... in a good mood, very pleasant scenes to observe and photograph.
In order to remain discreet, I opted for a photo taken back.

hello Jean, Interesting to see the Chinese doing their exercise, here individually. I think that you could just to take pictures in front. The Chinese like to be photographed, even are thankful for it.

Hello Jean,
A nice photo in my taste. Seeing the parks filled with people doing these exercises in the mornings remain among my strongest memories of China. You captured well the man leaning on his left leg. The people placed here and there on the road between the trees give the photo nice depth. The lady in red pants and the red banderols provide splashes of bright colour.

Hello Jean,

Many people practise Tai Chi in this country now. There is a class in our local village, but we do not see people openly exercising in public. This must be a very sociable activity in China.
Besides being able to enjoy seeing these active people, your photograph is nicely composed, sharp and with lovely dappled light.

Bonjour Jean,

Peu importe ou on marche en Chine et si on rencontre un parc on voit ce genre de situation et j'aime beaucoup ce calme et ces gestes précis dont on ne comprend pas tous les mystères.

I thought of “dancing in the street” when I first saw this attractive photo. But after your text and a closer look at it, I did indeed see some more morning gymnastics.

Wow you did go to China, Shanhai! I have not yet been there even though it is very close to Japan---.
Yes I think this is quite usual and typical morning secne in China. Sometime I see such secnes in Tokyo too. Very well composed image with keeping nice balance one another.

I suppose this would be a common scene to be taken in many asian countries. Nothing wrong with that as its all part of the culture. often they are done with large groups or small groups, but this gut is going solo haha. fun shot, I like it.

Bonjour Jean,
Realized that Tai-chi in the parks are common scene, when visited honh-Kong, as in every morning we saw people doing it. Nicely collected this daily life scene, backlight gave special green tones to the trees on the background.

Une photo relaxante, agréable à regarder. C’est bien de savoir que les Chinois jouissent d’un bon mode de vie.

I remember a suburban park I visited in shanghai and the people doing exercises and dancing in at sunday morning. a nice view here too.
