Mischevious, a photo from Sichuan, Central

Photographer's Note

These two little boys were playing outside the monastery in Litang, Sichuan. Before taking this picture, I had been "dancing" with the two of them. The boy on the left was very shy. His brother on the other hand, after a few moments of initial shyness, quickly started up a dance competition with me, a mischevious glint in his eye. We went back and forth, inventing dance steps left and right. What a cloud of dust we kicked up!

I've cropped this photo from the original, to put more emphasis on the two boys.

like the natural look of the children...
the dusty environment adds to it...
but why 'Mischevious' ?

Hi Lindsey,
this is a lovely photo and I like your note for better understanding what we see here.
Sharpness could be a little bit better, but doesn't matter when I see the motive.

I just loved these two champs :)
The one on the right is rather elder and unlike his brother he does not seem to be shy...

This is a lovely portrait of these nice little guys ! They are very expressive and very funny and thier shyness seems to be very easy to passby ! Nice composition and nice light management. Thanks for sharing !
