Looking through the archives and found this lurking so thought I would give it an outing..

The Pearl Shoal Waterfalls, located at an altitude of 2400m asl, is the largest and best known waterfalls at Jiuzhaigiou Valley, one of the highlights of the picturesque nature reserve in Northern Sichuan.

Setting: 34 mm, 1/15 sec, F25, ISO Raw 200, 1515 hrs, polarised and hand held

Amazing photo of these gorgeous waterfalls. I like the smooth effect on the falling water and the sunlight makes it stand out so well. The greenery adds a great frame around it as well.

A place with incredible natural beauty. Longish exposure shows the flow of water well. Comparing brightness levels between foreground and background, I think you have given quite a bit of processing to this one. But it still looks lovely.

These waterfalls are very beautiful, which fall in such an ideal way in several jets, the landscape of mountains and forest magnifies the place.
Very good color that increases the attractiveness of the image.

A great photo of these spectacular falls that I should have seen years ago but the flight connections just didn't work for us. A good slow shutter speed for a good effect with the water.

Hello Abmdsudi,

You were lucky to be able to get into Jiuzhaigiou. It was closed with snow across the access roads when I was in Chengdu in January 2002. Good colour and sharpness with nice motion blur of the cascading water. Tfs!
