Well north of the main Angkor group of temples but still reachable by tuk tuk is the only temple complex not built by a monarch but by courtiers. This temple was dedicated to the Hindu god Śiva with the modern name meaning citadel of the women.
The buildings are smaller but were built in the 10th century from red sandstone which is good for carving. It is not wood.
This exquisite example is over the entry gate.
