Bakong is an interesting stepped temple, even if not spectacular, but then it is the oldest in the region, built from sand stone in the 9th century.
A Wikipedia article suggests that it is very similar to Borobudur in Java but having been there as well the comparison is hopeful at best (just the stepped design maybe).
The main photo shows the temple.
In the WS is an elephant that has lost its trunk and a photo of a small tower under maintenance.
