‘Stung Treng - Multitasking on the market’
A few years ago I showed a picture of a Vietnamese lady who was combining several tasks at the same time.
Here I have another one that shows that women are great multitaskers.
This time a Cambodian woman who kept the store running while she was rocking the little one to sleep and apparently enjoyed her phone call.
The photo was taken in the covered market of Stung Treng, Northern Cambodia.
Different sources mention the name as Stung Treng. On TE, however, this location is called Stoeng Treng.

Hi Paul,
Very colourful scene from the market. She sells all kinds of clothes of every possible colour. The kid has comfortable nap on the hammock. I really like her smile.

Hello Paul!
You catched her in a good pose and yes : muktitasking, swinging the hammock oh her boy, looking , what is going on on her smartphone and having a wonderful smile.
Great shot of this female vendor in a bright and colorful surrounding presenting her goods.
After now I have not seen this kind markets for more than two years I miss travelling sooooo much.
The ws photos are good too and give a nice overview of the whole place.
Regards,Ronny

Goedenavond Paul,
Hier zijn geen kleuren tekort.
Maar wat wel opvalt dat moeder op deze manier haar kind in beweging brengt.
En een lach kan er ook nog af, en dat maakt uw foto extra aangenaam
Mooi foto werk, bedankt.
Mooi weekend, en blijkbaar goed weer op komst,
John.

Hello Paul,
Seeing a salespersons so completely surrounded by colourful textiles is quite common in many parts of Asia, but this is probably the first time I see this kind of multitasking in a market place. The photo is funny, bright and eye-catching and gives us a look at daily life in this part of the world. The WS are good complements but can't match the charm of this one.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Paul,
I work from home and my wife as well while my daughter is home schooled due to the covid so we are multitasking as well, however I am sure we are much less photogenic. This lady has been captured in a beautifully colorful background. Plus she smiles nicely as well.
Very well done,
M

Hallo Paul,

Hi Paul,
A colourful market scene with the mother multitasking on the phone to a customer, holding the fort in case anyone wants to buy something, and gently rocking her daughter in the hammock. Good colour and sharpness. Tfs!

The colors were first to be noticed, Paul, thans saw the baby in the hammock, which explain the title.
Well choasen the main photo from the market, all three wonderfully presented, as always.
Wish you a nice weekend,

Hello Paul, Women are multitasking, they need to be. Men are incapable to be like this, haha. Here it is not difficult, there are no clients, so she can just rock the baby and look at her5e mobile. The stand itself is not especially interesting, with the Chinese items you can see everywhere in the world.
Nice colourful composition. Have a nice weekend. Best regards MAlgo

Hi Paul,
This photo is a riot of colour, with some amusement too. The lady is hard to see at first - she blends in with all the other colourful clothes around her. Well exposed and sharp photo.

Hello Paul,
This is a delightful shot, well observed!
The lady and net crib, make a strong line between the flat clothes and the hanging clothes. That youngster will grow up having a penchant for bright colours!
I was surprised by the wider view of the market. It could be a market in the U.K.. it looks so similar in arrangement and products.
The only sad part was the litter on the floor. It is one of my pet hates! I do wish people would realise their responsibility to the planet!
Thank you for sharing these and have a good w/e, Bev :-)

Hello Paul, three excellent and very colourful scenes from the market.
The main post is particularly good with the child being rocked to sleep, how ingenious! And if she were to fall, the clothes beneath her would be like a cushion.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hello Paul,
:-) multitasking in the multicolour displays.
All these shimmering 'namaak' designs, look pretty decent up-to-date in the fashion world with bad qualities for sure.
I've seen a lot of 'taking nap' scene in the market, whilst the business is still running.
I wouldn't be surprised if the lady takes her turns sleeping in the hammock and the little one does the rocking while sucking milk bottle :-)
One thing I haven't tried is eating ( the setting )in the market shown in WS1. At least, you can see the food preparing in front of you and immediately served. More like, 'Eat and Go'.
I'm sure this eatery , without any doubts ,served the best local foods.
Thanks for showing this 'comical market' scene.
Have a nice weekend :-)

Hi Paul, obviously for me, the most interesting photo is that of the restaurant .. hehe ... but unfortunately you do not see the local specialties in this perspective, however very clear and colorful. The main photo is also excellent, surely the women here do not have the trade union advantages that we have, so you have to bring your children to work and make do with it as in this case, beautiful scene of everyday life! Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

As mulheres são fantásticas nas multitarefas. Aqui ela faz tudo e ainda sorrindo! Excelente foto da vida diária do Cambodia. Eu gostei dos WS também, mostrando o interior do mercado e seus frequentadores. Belo trabalho !

Hello Paul,
It's an explosion of color! The young saleswoman has found a tiny spot to sit and do her multitasking. I like her warm smile. The baby looks comfortable, too. :-) Take care!
