Photographer's Note

For much of the ancient ruins at Beng Melea there are trees and tree roots over the old walls. Here a tangle of roots reach down to the ground from a tree perched on top of a building. For hundreds of years the trees had it to themselves and at Beng Melea they've been allowed to stay in control.
A great place to explore and clamber about. Beng melea is well away from the Angkor group of temples and is too far to catch a tuk tuk. A car or bus trip is needed.
