Photographer's Note
On the bright sunny day that I picked to catch the sunset, it didn't happen. Clouds moved in and the overcast pictures weren't anything to shout about. The normally peak-season crowd of sunset eventually returned to Siem Reap town for the night, leaving only a handful loitering to see the last traces of light vanish from the clouds.
Amazingly Angkor Wat suddenly started lighting up... and what a sight it became... and there was hardly anyone around except for local kids playing and a few local couples huddled by the bank.
Still set on my tripod after countless low-light slow-shutter shots of crowds leaving against the overcast-gray Angkor Wat, I started shooting the various stages of flood lights being turned on.
Good advice for anyone catching sunset at Angkor Wat to just stay (seemingly pointlessly) till dark by the water-side for this spectacular view. Photos can never capture the true breathtaking experience, and the beauty of its serenity (without the usual urban sky-laser or fireworks accompanyment).
Interestingly, very few (actually nobody that we asked including our tuk-tuk driver and hotel staff) knew about this either.

VinSen,
Amazingly not critiques? I'm very disturbed by this. Well, I know as a new member, it's hard to get attentions. Give it sometimes and if you photos are of this good quality, and you do write some critques to others, many will start to critique your work, it's only fair. It's a two way street. Some photogaphers think that they can just post pictures and recieve comments without commenting on others. This is a very good nice shot with good composition and good control of the light and exposure. Very useful note as well. This sure deserved much more attention. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Way
