‘Kompong Phluk - Colours of a Cambodian stilt house village’

When I first saw this load of wood being brought in, I thought they needed bigger, wider and stronger pieces to support the homes. But on the right behind the motorbike you can see that such narrower posts are indeed used. Obviously not to support a home.

If you look closely, you can see in several photos that there are houses with a small shrine at the front on the level where people live.
I also noticed that several people have plants on their patio. Just like with us.
