Photographer's Note
Chong Knheas is a semi-non permanent village on the edge of Tonle Sap lake. All activities run over the water. And I saw many of small boats drivers are still very young, including this one in the picture.

Very nice capture! Makes you wonder if the old man's cigarette got wet. Good thing you didn't get that nice lens wet :)
Like the B&W conversion

Hi Cessy
The expressions on the faces here are so well captured and our eye is immediately drawn to them. I like the way you have frozen the movement of the water, and use of b&w is a good choice here with a nice range of contrasts.

I like this one a lot - the dynamic created by the splash of water is good, the expressions on the two faces are great especially as they are so different. The boy busily pushing the boat along, the old man looking at the water as if it's going to extinguish his cigarette (which is another great detail). Perfect for B&W, this is a great shot.

Hi Cessy. Making this b/w does give it a classical feel which is what the scene dictates anyway. You've got some priceless expressions and the fast shutter speed stopped all of the action with plenty of sharpness.

Très belle photo où tu as su capturer de belles expressions notamment sur le visage de la vieille personne. J'aime beaucoup le mouvement qu'il y a dans cette photo. Bon n&b. Bravo

A very interesting scene you saw here, Cessy. Good contrast between the older passenger (quite an interesting character) and the focused young boat driver. Nice frozen action with the splashing droplets around the rudder in mid-air. Looks nice in b&w but I wouldn't imagine the color version to be much worse ;)

Interesting choice of B&W. It enhances obviously the contrast, but that is a given. At the same time it also focus more on the action and diverts less from the bright colors that might be there. The freezing of the water splash is great and finally the contrast of the old man, ready to lit his cigerette, and the boy doing all the work.
Great composition!

Hi Cessy,
Great dynamics in this well composed shot. I love the spray of the water, the extended paddle, the lighting, but most of all, the expressions of the old man and young boy. The man with his cigarette seems to regard the scene with utter composure and equanimity. A superb capture. Have a good week...

Hi Cessy,
Your pictures are so wonderfull, especially the ones of Cambodia!
This one is im my views a particullarly nice one. There is everything: the old man watching the younger one as he tries to get around. The water caputed in movement, still nice and sharp. B&W is also a great choice. Just great :))
