Banteay Srei is the most beautiful & finest temple among Angkor Wat environs, though the scale or size are smaller than Angkor Wat or Angkor Thom.
The name means "the citadel of the women" in the Khmer language. Built of Pink sandstone are attractive. The sculptures are anyway fine and outstanding.
Banteay Srei was built in the year 967 AD. It means about 1100 years ago. But they are still fine perfect.
