Photographer's Note

This beautiful girl was among the many visitors of Angkor Wat during a national holiday in Cambodia.

Angkor is the foremost national symbol in the country and is even present in the Cambodian national flag. That’s why the temple becomes a sort of pilgrimage center during national holidays.

Angkor is a region of Cambodia that served as the seat of the Khmer Empire, which flourished from approximately the 9th to 13th centuries. The word Angkor is derived from the Sanskrit nagara, meaning "city".

Angkor Wat meaning “city temple”, is a Hindu temple complex at Angkor, built for the king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and part of his capital city. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre since its foundation — first Hindu, dedicated to the god Vishnu, then Buddhist. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture.

Increased sharpness and saturation, did a little cropping.
