Photographer's Note

This is an other of the enigmatic faces of King Jayavarman 7 who was the last great builder of the Khmer Empire.

His face appears in two different places:
1: On the Bayon - his state temple
54 towers X 4 faces per tower = 216 faces ...
Bayon is one of the most photographed and visited temples in Angkor, second only to Angkor Wat ...
Good light - either in very early morning or late afternoon. It is also one of the most crowded temples with massive amounts of tourists and groups which can be distracting ...

2. Gate towers of temples/monasteries/cities erected by the above king.

This particular one comes from the second category and sees very few tourists indeed!

The colors are just amazing on this one,and are natural! I just used a polarizer and later adjusted levels of Brightness and contrast ...
