Photographer's Note

This picture is of the sea by Ocheuteal Beach Beach, arguably Cambodia's only 'real' beach for now. So it is extremely popular. This photo is in contrast to an earlier one 'Calm Sea', both of which were taken of almost the same place and time, but with a very different mood it them.

In this photo, it was particularly popular with city people from the capital Phnom Penh, because it was close to Phnom Penh's annual Royal Water and Moon Festival, where millions of rural Cambodians converge on the city to enjoy the boat races and other fun activities. Phnom Penh folks, on the other hand, use the three-day holiday to escape from the crowds and many travel to the coast. As you can see, many people cannot swim and instead use tubes to cling onto. Also, since Cambodia is a conservative country, you rarely see Cambodians wearing Western bathing clothes.

I was using a Sony Cybershot, so the quality won't exceed what you can see here.
