Photographer's Note

I had been wandering around the bustling Psar Thmay market at its hectic best, searching for photo opportunity. Spotted this market vendor from a distant that I was very much drawn by her face & emotion who seemingly unaware of my lens. A split second of time shot followed by concentrating on her eyes when she was momentarily distracted and hoping the rest followed.

I was overwhelmed by a sea of humanity at this market – the activity, colors, sounds and smells, indeed a fun place to just explore thru or to people watch.
Please view workshop image on what she'd got to offer

A 'krama' is a sturdy traditional Khmer head scarf with many uses, including as bandanna, to carry children, to cover the face and for decorative purposes. It is worn by men, women and children and can be fairly ornate though most typical kramas contain checked patterns of some sort and traditionally come in either red or blue.
