Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in the evening on the bridge between Da Khmao and Phnom Penh Cambodia. This family was enjoying the evening sun as they made their way out to the larger Bassac River, from the subsidiary stream they were currently residing on. This boat was both the family home, and probably the only form of transportation owned by the family.

Interesting angle and really in the spirit of TE! I like the birds eye view but also the color scale, except for the bush it is mostly brown variation. Very welcome to TE and give us more of this quality!

A very unusual perspective Klint, from the tumbnail I couldn't make out what it was I was looking at. The wake off of the bow in the choclate colored water adds depth and symetry to this shot.
Very nice first posting and welcome to TE.

Wow. I am a subscriber to this perspective (I have a lot of pictures taken from the bird's eyeview) that only a few people enjoy. This one is so spot on ... you can see a lot of details that you normally wouldn't see. The wake that the boat leaves is one of those details that can only be appreciated from this vantage point and shows how efficient this boat runs on water. I am quite sure your original is better than the scan ... I think some of the shine in the water that should have been there has been reduced.

Welcome to T.E. Klint
Very nice top view capture. I especially like the wake of waves. You would want to choose a lesser compression rate next time. I passed your image through NeatImage and it is much better then this heavily compressed version.

An excellent first photo. It's a very interesting perspective. The only comment I really have is that there are some visible compression artifacts in the photo, so it would be better to use less comperssion and get a larger, but better, file.

Very effective shot. I like the water hyacinths and the wake of the boat. This is a fine daily life photo of daily lives that are SO different from that of anyone using this site. Nice light and a good PoV.
Do you have any shots of these boats from a shallower angle where we can see the people from the front rather than this somewhat abstract view from 90 degrees? I'd like to see both for comparison.

Hi Klint,
Excellent POV you have here. Looks like you were directly above them. VEry well seen. But i pity them if this is the only thing that they own for themselves.
Thanks for sharing
