‘Stung Treng - Roots’

It is in the roots, not the branches, that a tree's greatest strength lies.

I’ve seen several trees with such roots. My photo shows the same tree as in my previous main photo because the light was the best with this one.
Also the two pictures in the WS are taken in that virtually uninhabited area of northern Cambodia where the Mekong is very wide and where you find dozens of rocky and sandy islands. It is called ‘the flooded forest’.

The trip was made by boat from Stung Treng.
The visit can be made both in the dry and in the rainy season.. The variation in water height would be 10 metres.
Since my photos were taken in the middle of the dry season, I’m not sure if these trees are ever standing completely out of the water.
