‘Stung Treng - At the butchers’’

My main picture is taken on the same covered market area as my previous photos.
Why this format? I took this picture very quickly and had to cut out much of an empty foreground.
While I could take pictures very easily everywhere in that market, the lady on the right in this photo looked as if another annoying stranger appeared who would not buy anything and just look and photograph.

She was right about me but I haven’t seen other tourists there.
Stung Treng is the first place in Cambodia where you arrive when entering the country from Laos.
But just about everyone (except me) changed from minibus in Stung Treng. Except in the bus station (actually a bus stop in front of a small restaurant) I saw very few Westerners.

Most foreigners wanted to get to Seap Reap (for the temples of Angkor Wat) as soon as possible after arriving. Although a new road to Siem Reap had been built relatively recently, it was still quite a long bus journey. Besides, I wanted to visit other places before going there.
