Photographer's Note

Tanguar Haor is a unique wetland, for six months of the year the 46 villages are only accessible by boat, but even in the dry season there is always water in the haor.
Fishing and farming are the principal occupations of people living here, more than 62 per cent of heads of households are engaged in farming and 70% of households depend on fishing in the Haor.Fishing is still carried out in the traditional way by hand with nets.
