Photographer's Note

Turag River is surrounding the North edge of Dhaka and an embankment was built to protect the city from flooding. As a country, Bangladesh is always and everyday full of vibrant colors. During my boat ride on the Turag River in summer afternoon I came across a place called Pal Para (meaning the Place where Pottery makers live), not far from Gabtoli and Mirpur. Although the Pottery making and the pottery makers no longer exists in this place, potteries are brought in here by boat and stacked here for whole sale. Based on this pottery market other shops like vegetables and fishes has also grown up. A flavor of typical village market can be observed in the edge of Dhaka city!!
